Instructor Bio:
Crystal Newton is a Wallowa County artist and watercolor instructor who finds inspiration in the beauty and changing seasons of Eastern Oregon. Her artistic journey began at age 13 with pencil drawings of wildlife and later led her to study graphic design and build a career in the graphic arts. After moving to Wallowa County, Crystal found new opportunities to focus on her fine art, exploring a blend of media and styles. She enjoys capturing fleeting moments in nature, sometimes adding a touch of imagination to bring a smile to the viewer. Her work has been featured in regional exhibitions, and she enjoys painting outdoors through plein air experiences. Teaching watercolor has deepened her knowledge and appreciation of the medium, and she loves sharing that knowledge and creativity with others.
