Adult Dulcimer Class

A beginning Mountain Dulcimer class will be offered for five weeks on Tuesdays, October 15 to November 12, 2013, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Woodshed, 705 S. River St. in Enterprise. The instructor will be Heidi Muller, who has played and taught for almost 30 years. Cost is $85 and pre-registration is required. If needed, there are a few dulcimers available to rent for the five weeks for an additional $40. Some new instruments are also available for sale from the instructor.
 
The dulcimer has a delightfully sweet sound, and with only three strings, it is one of the easiest folk instruments to learn. There is no need to have a musical background or to read music. Classes will cover all of the basic techniques of playing and students are typically able to play some simple songs by the end of the first class.
