Eagle Cap Excursion Train
Today's train are the Minam Summer Shorts. Two short options give you a taste of train travel and beautiful scenery, but leave plenty of time to pack more adventure or relaxation into your day. Choose the morning ride from Minam to Rondowa Bridge, where the Grande Ronde and Wallowa Rivers join forces. Passengers can breathe the piney mountain air and take photos before boarding the train again for the return to Minam (19 miles RT). Or, choose the afternoon one-way trip, departing from Minam and following the Wallowa River downstream, then the Grande Ronde River upstream to Elgin (26 miles on the train). Bus ride provided back to Minam.
