Maxville Gathering

The Maxville Annual Gathering is a full-day family-friendly event that celebrates the logging history of Wallowa County. This year it will be a two day event.  On Saturday there will be:

  • Dr. Olen Cole  - CCC Oral History Presentation 
  • Rick McClure - CCC camps in the Pacific Northwest
  • USFS Key hand-off ceremony
  • Live Music
  • Kirk Skovlin pig roast
  • Juanita and Larry Waters - Mule Tours
  • Historical logging demos
  • Local vendor booths
  • Kids activities
  • Parking provided by the Wallow School District
On Sunday, June 20: Josephy Center of Arts and Culture, 403 N. Main St., Joseph
  • Guided tour of Maxville!  bus tour leaving Joseph at 11am, Return time around 3:30-4Pm
  • Tour participants will be treated to appetizers and Lathrop Country Wine samplings

On Saturday Wallowa City Park in Wallowa.

On Sunday guided tour to Maxville town site, on Promise Road, 16 miles north of Wallowa, leaving from the Jospehy Center in Joseph

Fees/Admission

Tickets for Sunday bus tour is $50 per ticket
