Staff Accountant Wallowa County Grain Growers | Enterprise, Oregon

Wallowa County Grain Growers is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position plays an important role in supporting the financial operations of our multi-department cooperative, helping ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound business decisions.

What You'll Do

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Reconcile general ledger and bank accounts
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Help maintain internal accounting controls and financial compliance
• Coordinate audit preparation and supporting documentation
• Partner with department managers to provide financial insight
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency
• Support accounting operations across multiple company locations

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience

Successful candidates will have:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and budgeting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
• A positive attitude and team-oriented approach
